"Design is the manipulation of form and content"

"Design is the manipulation of form and content…Content is the idea, or object matter. Form is what you do with this idea. How do I deal with it?Do I use color?Do I use black and white? Do I make it big? Do I make it small? Do I make it 3D or 2D?Do I use trendy stuff, or do I use more serious stuff? Do I use Bodoni or do I use Baskerville? There are all the questions you ask. This is part of manipulative aspect of design."
---Paul Rand

The first few lessons of 1180, I learnt that "Communication design is the intentional use of media to convey meaning from one to another."
The dimensions we considered allow us to get different forms.

"How do I deal with it?Do I use color?Do I use black and white? Do I make it big? Do I make it small? Do I make it 3D or 2D?Do I use trendy stuff, or do I use more serious stuff? Do I use Bodoni or do I use Baskerville?"

When we think of our audience, we consider demogrpahics, psychographics...etc. and we ask these questions. then start to design, convey our idea, give meaning.

rememeber Gestalt's precepts and laws....
remember princples of design.....

They are fundamental.........but important
we always need to ask ourselves.
