word , colour and IMAGE

Today, I walk into a lift and see it.
When I first looked at it, I wondered.....and Oh! I realised!

The word "Germany" is composed by three colour and these are colours in German's Flag.

Nothing is better or easier than using a flag to represent a nation. When we look at the picture on the poster, those foreigers mean nothing to the audience(mainly local student) as they are almost same facial feature. It doesn't tell us where people will go to exchange.

However, between those lines and words, the coloured "Germany" word stands out clearly and simply to tell the place. It is clear because the word is coloured, is the largest in the poster and is put at the area that people will usu. notice when seeing posters. It will be less conspicuous if the word is in black colour. It is simple because it merges the flag with word rather than the real image of Germany's Flag. I think it leaves a place for wondering(imaging), associating the three colour with their experience and knowledge(e.g.wt do these3 colours mean? why are these 3?) and this is important to catch ppl's attention.

I'm not saying this is a good design but i like the good use of word, colour and object's characteristic.
